Perspectives

I chose to be in the position of Catalina. If I were her then I would be in a pretty horrible situation. I wouldn't want to get my parents to talk to the principal or any one else for that matter because, like I said before, they would think it was a bigger deal then it really was. I would have to solve it myself. First I would ignore them, but that might make them mad. So I would stand up to them, get mad at them and yell at them. Then I would run. I would run home and spend the whole night trying to figure them out. To tell the truth, I don't know what I would do after that, because things like that have never really happened to me. If it got really bad I would have no choice. I would have to be friends with someone who was never bothered. Some one like Bethany.

Revealers-Keeping Quiet

Q: Should kids solve their own problems, or should adults/parents get involved?

A: I think it totally depends on the kid, his/hers parents, and the situation. If it was the same situation as the book, then I would want to get my parents involved, inform the principal, and if she didn't do anything then I would come to her in person...with my parents.
If it was a different situation such as a friend saying something or doing something to some one else (that didn't include physical abuse) then I would rather not include my parents because some parents (like mine) would think it was more of a big deal than it really was.

Two truths and a lie

  • I love to eat olives
  • I would rather shop for nail polish rather than shoes
  • I adore the book "I love Lucy"
